Mothman Paranormal Witness at Point Pleasant, West Virginia

Mothman Paranormal Witness at Point Pleasant West Virginia

Several years ago, while photographing burial mounds and earthworks for the book, "The Nephilim Chronicles: A Travel Guide to the Ruins in the Ohio Valley," I had an encounter with a ghost, demon, or something that defied any explanation. I had spent a long day going to sites down the Ohio River, going back and forth from Ohio into West Virginia. The last site for the day was at Gallipolis, Ohio, that is across the river from Point Pleasant, West Virginia. A mound was listed as being in the city cemetery that sat on a high bluff overlooking the Ohio River. Was it the Mothman or the Demon Pazuzu?

The burial mound at the Gallipolis, Ohio in the Mound Hill Cemetery had been nearly leveled and a gazebo placed on its top.

The photo was taken at the time of the voice saying "Nice evening, isn't it?"  To the right of the statue, a face is visible. Is it the Mothman?  Is it some other ghost?  Is it a demon?   In the distance can be seen as the bridge that collapsed and the mouth of the Kanawha River.

Another view of the face that is visible to the right of the statue.

After taking this photo, I walked over to the bluff and looked out over the Ohio River. I was especially intrigued by the fact that I was also looking at the Kanawha River's mouth because I was going to follow this river to Charleston, West Virginia, to photograph the mound sites there. The Shawnee called the Kanawha river, 'The River of Evil Spirits." In Charleston, henges measured 666 feet in circumference, many mounds, and one of the largest concentrations of giant skeletons in the Ohio Valley. Knowing the significance of the Kanawha's mouth, I was surprised that more mounds were not constructed at this site.  Generally, I do not take landscape photos, but the mouth of the Kanawha was significant, and so I raised my camera for a photo. As I took the pic, a voice said: "Nice evening, isn't it?" I looked around, and I was the only person in the cemetery, and thought it strange, but was probably a voice that had carried for a distance somewhere from the bottom of the bluff.    I got in the car to leave and drove the short distance around the cemetery to the steep incline back down the hill when the steering wheel jerked hard to the left. I missed the drive and had to go back around the cemetery. My thought was that I had hit a pothole that had pushed the wheel to the left. As I drove back around, I was looking ahead and saw no hole in the drive, and as I approached, the steering wheel began to turn to the left all on its own.  Missing the exit again, I knew something was up. I got back to the exit, opened my door, placed my left foot on the ground a walked the car to the exit, and partially down the hill.
In route to Charleston, I must have looked in my review mirror a hundred times because I was convinced some were sitting in the back seat.  When I got to my hotel, the room was freezing cold. The temp was in the low 70s, and I couldn't understand why my room was 50 degrees.
The next morning, I went to the gas station to fill up and check the oil to find out there was zero oil in the car. The car didn't burn oil, and there was no evidence that I ruptured the oil pan.
The next destination was Madison County, Kentucky, where there were numerous giants along with another henge that measured 666 feet. In route, the car engine began to cut out, and at one time, I was only going 45 mph down I-75. When I reached Richmond, Virginia, and head south down the country roads to the henge, I had to go up some steep hill that the car would did not have the power to get to the top. I had to turn around and get ahead of speed to get over them.
I arrived at the site only to find it was on private property. I did photograph three mounds in the area with great difficulty. I made back to Richmond, exhausted, and wondering what to do. I decided I would get as far as I could and then abandon the car and hitchhike to Cincinnati and maybe get a bus home.
Twenty four hours had passed since my encounter at the cemetery. As I got on I-75, the car had no difficulty reaching 65 mph, and it stopped cutting out. The car never did it again the time that I still owned it.  Nor did ever burn oil.
When I returned home, I told a friend about the experience and asked if I knew about the Mothman. I did not. He said there was a movie called The Mothman Prophecies, and I should rent it, and I did. Really?  I looked again at the photo I had taken overlooking the Ohio River and saw a face. I presumed it is who asked, "Nice evening, isn't it?" I can not help but think there is a connection with Mothman and the mound builders.

I did some additional research that said some of the people who had died in the bridge collapse were buried in this cemetery.  Further, the Mothman had been sighted in a tree at this cemetery.

Is the Mothman the Demon Pazuzu?

Is the Mothman the Demon Pazuzu?

Statue of the Mothman at Point Pleasant West Virginia
There are Native American Legends about a winged creature with a dog face, red eyes and the body of a serpent that haunted the Ohio Valley.  This is very similar to modern sightings and description of the Mothman.  The Native Americans called this creature "Piasu."  Oddly, "Piasu" is not recognized as a name or word that matches any known American Indian language.     It is also of interest that Native Americans never lived in the region around Point Pleasant, West Virginia because they believed the area was haunted by "strange creatures." Hieroglyphs of an unknown ancient origin were also found at Point Peninsula.  Was this a warning about Pazuzu?    https://www.mysteriesofancientamerica.com/2018/12/hieroglyphs-found-at-point-pleasant.html
This winged creature that was described as having red eyes was called the Piasu by the Native Americans who feared this creature that haunted the Ohio Valley.  Is this the Mothman?   There is another strange similarity to another demon that is best noted for from the Movie the Exorcist called Pazuzu. This creature looked much like what has been described as the Mothman and the Native American's Piasu. The names of the two are so similar it is hard to dismiss the possibility that they are one in the same.
Pazuzu is a Sumerian deity is very similar in appearance to the noted Mothman.  Could this be the demon that haunts the Ohio River? Pazuzu also had glowing red eyes and could fly at great speeds.    Point Pleasant is located at the mouth of the Kanawha River that is of importance because of the many burial mounds and earthworks found the extent of the river with the Capital of the Adena (Allegewi) mound builders located in Charleston, West Virginia.
Map showing the Kanawha River with the location of Charleston West Virginia at the end where the river is highlighted in dark blue.  Kanawha can be translated as "awha" being "river" and possibly "Kana" being a reference to Cain.  This may seem like a historical stretch until you look at the mounds and earthworks in Charlestown, West Virginia that contained the remains of the Nephilim Giants.
One of two earthworks in Charleston, West Virginia that were 666 feet in circumference.  Is this the mark of Cain? Is this the origin of the name of the Kanawha River?  666 is from the Babylonian numerical code called Gematria.  This dictated that the number 666 represented the Sun Father and 1080 was symbolic of the Earth Mother.  These two numbers or their derivatives are found in nearly all of the earthworks in the Ohio Valley, Giant skeletons are found more numerous in these parts of the Ohio River than anywhere else in the Ohio Valley. The Algonquin Indians called the mound builders of the Ohio Valley, the Allegewi  "Al"= high place "eg" = Og the accounted giant in the Bible and "ewi" people or interpreted a,s the "high place of the people Og. Og was the accounted giant in the Bible and chief of the Amorites.  The Amorite people were known for their great size. Upriver from the Point : Pleasant was the Allegewi capital at present-day Charleston WV.  There is no greater concentration of mounds and earthworks in the Ohio Valley.
This is a partial map of the many mounds and earthworks in the Charleston, West Virginia area along the Kanawha River.
The following accounts of large skeletons were reported by the Bureau of Ethnology of the Smithsonian. It is clear that these scientists were under pressure not to report any skeletal remains that exceeded 7 feet in height.

Bureau of Ethnology 12th Annual Report, 1894
Kanawha County
Mound 19, the one farthest to the east, is 60 feet in diameter and 5 feet high. It was found to contain a rude vault of angular stones; some of them as much as two men could lift. This had been built on the natural surface and was 8 feet long, 4 wide, and 3 high, but contained only the decaying fragments of a large skeleton and a few fragments of pottery.
Bureau of Ethnology 12th Annual Report, 1891
Kanawha County
Mound 31 measured 318 feet in circumference, 25 feet high, and 40 feet across its flat top. (See Fig. 302) A 10-foot circular shaft was sunk from the top and trenches run in from the side. The top layer consisted of 2 feet of soil, immediately below, which was 1 foot of mixed clay and ashes. Below this, to the bottom, the mound was composed of earth apparently largely mixed with ashes, placed in small deposits during a long period of time. Three feet below the top were two skeletons, one above the other, extended at full length, facing each other and in close contact. Above but near the heads were a pipe, celt, and some arrow or spearheads. Ten feet below these were two very large skeletons in a sitting position, facing each other, with their extended legs interlocking to the knees. Their hands outstretched and slightly elevated, were placed in a sustaining position to a hemispherical, hollowed, course-grained sandstone burned until red and brittle. This was about 2 feet across the top, and the cavity or depression was filled with white ashes containing fragments of bones burned almost to coals. Over it was placed a somewhat wider slab of limestone 3 inches thick.
This is what mound #31 looks like today.  Much has been erased of the hundreds of mounds and earthworks in Charleston West Virginia.

Lilith as the Mother of the Nephilim Giants

Lilith as the Mother of the Nephilim Giants

In the Jewish Apocrypha, Lilith is a Mesopotamian demon who was created by God to be Adam's first wife. Lilith disobeyed Adam's commands and so was rejected by Adam. After that, she was cast out of the Garden of Eden. In retribution, she became a demon and promised to give birth to a race of demons named "Lilim" who would murder humanity's children. From "Lilith's Cave," Lilith's Cave: Jewish tales of the supernatural
The "Lilim" are the Neph "ilim" whose gigantic skeletal remains have been found extensively in the British Isles and the Ohio Valley within the burial mounds. In Genesis 6: 4 it says that the giant race was spawned by the union of the Fallen Angels and mortal women.  "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown."
The Apocrypha corroborates the version that attributes Lillith as the mother of the Nephilim. "Though he avoided intercourse with Eve, Adam was visited in his sleep by female spirits, and from his union with them sprang shades and demons of various kinds, and they were endowed with peculiar gifts."  Female spirits visiting men while they sleep for the purpose of fertilization is the definition of a succubus.
"One of the earliest mentions of succubus comes from Mesopotamia on the Sumerian King List, circa, 2400 BC, where Lilitu, a female demon, appears to men in their erotic dreams. Two other corresponding demons appear as well: Ardat Lili, who visits men by night and begets ghostly children from them, and Urdu Lili, who is known as a male counterpart to Ardat Lili and visits women by night and begets from them.  According to Zohar and the Alphabet of Ben SiraLilith was Adam's first wife who later became a succubus.

Hey Mom and Dad, This is What a Real Tooth Fairy Looks Like

The Real Tooth Fairies

Fairies are Demons, Why Would You Invite One Into Your Home to Haunt Your Children?

Fairies are demons that were sent to hell by God and at the last minute he changed is mind and said that their spirits will dwell on earth.  Asking a demon to leave your kid a quarter for a lost tooth is dangerous.
